Comments: Dear sir or madam, Five years ago in a trip to Masai Mara I stayed in a very pleasant lodge, but unfortunately I can't remember the name and the only photo that I have of the lodge, the name is not very clear. It is something like Shikar Lodge. Could you please send me info about that place. I am planning to get back there in my next vacation, march/98. Thank you very much for your kind attention.

Comments: I visited Masai Marai in late Sep this year and saw the great wildebeest migration. It was really mindblowing to be surrounded by thousands of wildebeests and zebras from one and of the horizon to the other. On my third day there, they started to crowd together form large trecks heading backwards to Serengeti. My favourite animals are giraffes, because seem to do everything in slowmotion (I also wonder, how they can eat the leaves from the thorn-acacias). Unfortunately I didn't see any rhinos during my eight days stay there.

Comments: Cool site. I think I might have missed out on about ten years of your life which would probably help me understand why you are now an international authority on Africa. Not sure about the cat-sick colour background on the Home page (but we are all entitled to our own opinions). William says his favourite African animal (just a small point but doesn't 'african' on your guest book page qualify for a capital 'A'?) [Yes, we've since changed it] is a 'rraff. I think 'rraffs are cool too. They have a very nice 'rraff enclosure at Baltimore Zoo, with a very friendly fellow called Geff, who likes to reach over the wall and drool on peoples heads. Nothing like seeing them in the wild (I guess? - Let me know?). C.

Comments: Planning to visit the Masai mara sometime next year betweeen Jul and Oct. Hoping to get to see the wildebeeste migrations and some of the big cats. Favourite animals include lions, leopards, sable antelopes, hyenas, nile crocodiles. Need some more exact information on the timing of the wildebeeste migration. Also need some advice on the best kind of accommodation to take on the Mara itself for a budget traveller like myself and how early should the booking be made. If anyone can help, thanks a million !!

Comments: Jambo, My name is Bruce Simon. I am a Filmmaker from Los Angeles and a member of the Directors Guild of America. I am in the process of editing a short film celebrating the varied wildlife from East Africa. The project includes both Video Tape and Stills shot on a recent trip to Kenya and Tanzania, and will be edited using the Soundtrack from the Motion Picture Out of Africa. I have been in touch with MCA Music Publishing and have determined that the rights to use this music are negotiable. Even though I do anticipate some revenue from this project, I am looking for a Wildlife Preservation Group to associate with this film as I believe that it will be able to attract some attention to what ever organization is connected. The final product will be available for Broadcast and VHS Tape distribution. If you can direct me to anyone in your Organization or elsewhere who might have interest in this project, please do not hesitate to reply to BSimon47@aol.com to begin a dialogue. Thank you for your time. Bruce A. Simon (ps. Favorite African Animal.......... The Lions of course)
