Comments: I just returned from visiting the Masi Mara, what a facinating place! I loved it, but I was disturbed by the conduct of the local guides. I am a wildlife biologist and was shocked as our guide repeatedly went off road, drove very close to the animals, and even harassed some animals by backing up to them and pumping the exhaust to get them to move. (Of course we loudly protested, and did not tip this guide much at all.) I hope our driver was atypical, but judging by the cross country race that about 20 vans participated in to get close to a rhino that had been spotted, I think it sadly not the case. The Tanzanian parks we visited seemed to be better patrolled, and the guides wouldn't go off the road. I think the behavior of guides in Kenya is caused by the tips they get from tourists. If you are planning a visit here, please help the situation by encouraging your driver to respect the wildlife.

I was friends with the Missionary team that went to Kenya and John came back with them a few times. John and I drove around town listening to music that he said was cool. We also introduced hime to the Home Alone movie of which he kept repeating the phrase Lovely cheese pizza, just for me over and over. I haven't seen him since about 1995 and would love to get back in touch with him. I don't even know if he would remember me. Can anybody help me out? If so please email me at dj_mizike@hotmail.com. In the last letter we received from him, he had married a lady from California and relocated on the coast in Dar. His family lived in the Kenya highlands. He would be about 65 years old now. Would like to send him a photo of my family and our new grandson if I can locate him again. Thanks for your help. S.L.Hill

Comments: Né au Congo Belge et ayant vécu 24 ans dans ce pays, la première langue que je parlais était le Kiswahili. Hélas les années ont passé et j'ai beaucoup oublié. Mon animal préféré est le SIMBA (lion).

Comments: TIGERS. How does one go about buying a tiger, how much would cubs cost? NO! I'm not going to buy one, our little cat named Tiger wouldn't allow it... I'm Just interested. PS. I do understand that a pet like that can cost you $100,000 over it's lifetime, not counting the doctor bills the owner would incur from said tiger evertime he takes a nep or so. Hope to hear from you! Thanks.

Comments: Dear Sir, I am currently a second year student of Utrecht Business School and studying Marketing with the specialisation in Export Management. My study put a special emphasis on competencies, especially communication skill. As part of the requirement by the school, I have to do an internship abroad during the month of Apr until Jun. One of my passions is nature and therefore I would like to do my internship in an African safari park. Hereby I would like to ask you whether there is a possibility for me to do my internship at one of your safari parks. Should you need more information, do not hesitate to contact me. Yours faithfully, Louise Boehm
